Privacy policy

No cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics. Here is everything we hold and why.

1. The short version

The whole business rests on families trusting us with an elderly parent inside their own home. A tracking table is the stupidest imaginable place to spend that trust, so this website carries no cookies, no advertising pixels and no third-party analytics of any kind.

2. What this website collects

  • If you fill in the form: your name, your phone number, the locality your parents live in, whether you asked for a call back or a home visit, and a good time to call. That is the whole list, and it exists so we can ring you back.
  • If you arrive from a printed code: a counter records which code was scanned, what was pressed, and roughly what kind of handset — enough to tell "the code does not scan on iPhones" from "nobody scanned". No name, no number, no IP address, no cookie. Your IP and country are both available to that counter and neither is read.

3. What we collect once you are a customer

To do the work we hold a household record: names, address and landmark, contact numbers, who the point of contact is, age, blood group, allergies and preferred hospital, and a log of every visit and request. With your consent we also hold medical records — prescriptions, reports, a list of conditions.

Health information is sensitive personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We ask for it explicitly, we record who consented and when, and you can withdraw that consent.

4. Why we hold it

To provide the service you have asked for, to reach you, and to keep the record a family and a hospital may later need. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

5. Who else sees it

Only a provider we are arranging on your behalf, and only the part they need — a diagnostic centre needs a name and an appointment, not a family's history. Our software suppliers hold the data on our behalf under contract. We will disclose information where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not become a customer is kept for twelve months and then deleted. A customer's record is kept for the life of the service and for such period afterwards as the law requires, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You may ask us what we hold about you, correct it, ask for it to be erased, or withdraw a consent you gave. Write to care@sahayatacare.com and we will answer.

8. Grievances

If we have got something wrong, write to the same address with "Grievance" in the subject line and it will be looked at by the person responsible for data protection at Sahayata Care. If you are not satisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under eighteen.
