Terms of service

What we do, what we do not do, and the limits we hold ourselves to.

1. Who we are

Sahayata Care provides elder-care coordination in KPHB and the surrounding phases of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. You can reach us on +91 78425 25757 or at care@sahayatacare.com.

2. What the service is

We are beside an elderly person: a named care manager who knows the household, and a field executive who goes with them and handles the desk. That means booking appointments, going along to the doctor, the diagnostic centre, the bank and the government counter, running errands, arranging trades and third-party help, keeping the record, and telling the family what happened.

3. What the service is not

These are the limits, and we would rather you read them now than discover them later.

  • We are not clinical. Nobody on our payroll is a doctor, a nurse or a paramedic. We give no clinical advice — not a diagnosis, not a dose, not "it is probably nothing" — and we do not give, adjust or withhold medicine, including the household's own, except on their own doctor's instruction on a call we log.
  • We are not an emergency service. In a medical emergency call 112 or 108 first. We do not advertise a round-the-clock helpline, because we are not yet staffed to answer one honestly at 3am.
  • We do not handle your money. No deposits, no hospital counters, no cash from a relative.
  • We sign nothing on an elder's behalf — not consent, not admission, not discharge.
  • We never force entry. That is the police.
  • We do not discuss a household with anyone who is not on its record.

4. Services we arrange rather than provide

Some of what you see on our services page is marked "we arrange it". For those, we find the provider, book them, and stand beside your parents while the work happens — but the provider is the one supplying the service and the one billing you. Their fee is theirs, their professional obligations are theirs, and our responsibility is the arranging and the attending, not the work itself.

5. Plans and what a plan buys

A plan is a monthly budget of field visits, plus the shelf of services that budget may be spent on. The care manager, the household record, the app and hospital help sit outside that budget and are included at every level. Unused visits do not carry into the next month. Some work is billed per episode rather than inside a plan — dialysis and chemotherapy runs, and travel outside the city — because one such patient would consume a whole month's budget alone; we quote those separately before they happen.

6. Consent

Care is for a person, not a purchase. Where an adult child arranges Sahayata for a parent, the parent's own agreement is needed before we begin, and they may withdraw it at any time.

7. Cancelling

There is no lock-in. See our refunds and cancellation policy.

8. Liability

We are responsible for doing what we have said we will do, with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of a third-party provider we introduced, for a medical outcome, or for a decision taken by a family, a doctor or a hospital.

9. Changes

We may change these terms; the date at the top of this page says when they last changed, and material changes will be told to customers directly rather than only posted here.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction.
